We went on the quad bikes and I went heaps fast but Sam overtook me when I had a sore thumb. Then I went faster and caught up to him and then a man called me in to open up my throttle so I could go faster. Everybody got their throttle changed so they could go faster.
Here's a photo of me on the quad bike.
Daddy had a real rifle that he was shown how to fire at some clay targets that a man made fly up into the air. Daddy hit 5 and he missed one.
We sat and watched some terriers racing each other to catch a pretend rabbit. Daddy bought us a donut while we were watching.
The terriers were pretty strong holding onto the 'rabbit' and when the man tried to get it from them they kept on holding on even when he picked them up.
Someone else was on their horse, then they jumped off and ran along the ground when the horse was full pelt and then they jumped back on the horse. They were very amazing.

I like the photo of you & Sam on the quad bikes and the man standing on the 2 horses. you have been having lots of fun, I wish I was over there to see all these things too!! :)
ReplyDeleteHello there, Matt - well, didn't you love the mud - it would be good fun to roll in it, don't you think?? We can see you loved the quad bikes, especially when they changed the throttle! Do you think you could bring a quad back on the plane?? Grandpa was pleased to hear you had a donut as he loves them too. You sure had lots of fun at the castle, it was really like a big fair. We talked about you in reading group on Friday, Matt, when we were talking about snow and who had seen it. There were no boys at school on Friday, so we just had a girls reading day - hurray for the girls!! The girls were asking what things were like in Scotland for you, so they have not forgotten you. We hope you had lots of fun in Edinborough yesterday.
ReplyDeletelots of love

Hi Matt
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed reading about your visit to the castle last weekend. It sounds like you had heaps of fun and I'm very jealous that you got to ride a quad bike! Did Jo have a turn too?
Wind in the Willows is in less than a week and all the children are working hard to learn the songs. I think they're having lots of fun and are looking forward to wearing their costumes. Aunty Sharon glued feathers on the pants of the ducks the other day so that will look cute when they shake their tail at the audience! Sssh, don't tell anyone - it has to be a funny surprise!
Keep telling us all about Scotland - we love reading what you write.
Love Aunty Naamah and Uncle Jez (and the kids at school)
